The CST Xpedium is an affordable commuter tyre designed to get riders through their daily cycle commute, in all weather, without worrying about punctures. It provides reliable traction thanks to a water-dispersing tread pattern and is available with one of three different puncture protection technologies. The Xpedium Level 1 has an APL puncture protection, which features an extra 0.7mm layer of protective rubber, the Xpedium Level 3 has an EPS technology protection and the Xpedium Level 6 has a Double Breaker construction for maximum puncture protection.

APL technology puncture protection which APL features a respectable 0.7mm layer of rubber between the tread and the casing. This additional rubber layer assists in preventing penetration through the tyre.

Level 3 Xpedium - EPS (Exceptional Puncture Safety) technology protection offers an added layer of proprietary rubberised polyfiber material between the tread and the casing. The tight weave of this lightweight, puncture-resistant layer prevents sharp objects from penetrating the casing and damaging the tube.
Level 7 Xpedium - Double Breaker (Aramid Inside) construction for maximum puncture protection. The combination of aramid fibres and nylon with specially designed weave makes this type of anti-puncture protection unique. The anti-puncture protection is a 40% improvement on the universally rated EPS technology, while weighting 20% less and 5% faster.
